I especially like this one:

“What is it about you now that’s so interested in whatever stage you choose? Pressure from the now may help unearth the best phase to explore, especially the unfinished ones that haunt us the most.” 

I am in the process of writing a memoir about my spiritual experiences and how events and circumstances in my past have shaped the spiritual journey I'm living now.  So much of what I am today can be traced to those past events, and figuring out how they impacted me and lead me to the "here and now" is part of the journey.

I'll have to check out the book.  Thanks for the recommendation.
